Nienke Brands got her master’s degree in Public International Law at Utrecht University in 2007. While in Law School she was already working at the Dutch public prosecutor’s office, where she occupied various positions. It was there that she discovered that legal proceedings before a court attracted her, as well as the preceding stages where a compromise can still be reached. That’s why, in 2012, she decided to make the switch to advocacy.
From the very beginning at Muller Advocaten, Nienke Brands specialised in migration law, inter alia because of her background as a volunteer at Vluchtelingenwerk Nederland, the Dutch Council for Refugees. She also deals with cases concerning social security and she currently specialises in Family Law.
